Mumbai: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), reported overall auto sales of 99,636 vehicles during the month (Mahindra Auto Sales May 2026), registering a robust 20% year-on-year growth, including exports.
The Mahindra Auto Sales May 2026 performance was driven by continued demand across the company’s product portfolio.
In the Utility Vehicles segment, Mahindra sold 58,021 vehicles in the domestic market, marking an 11% growth compared to the corresponding period last year. Overall Utility Vehicle sales, including exports, stood at 59,573 units.
The company also reported strong growth in its Commercial Vehicles business. Domestic sales of Commercial Vehicles reached 24,079 units, reflecting a 19% increase year-on-year.
Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., said: “In May, we achieved SUV sales of 58,021 units, a growth of 11% and total vehicle sales stood at 99,636, a 20% YoY growth.
The sustained demand across our portfolio continues, constrained by supply chain challenges due to manpower shortages at select suppliers.”
The Mahindra Auto Sales May 2026 figures underline sustained customer demand for the company’s SUV lineup despite ongoing supply-side constraints affecting certain suppliers.

Utility Vehicle Sales Performance
According to the Mahindra Auto Sales May 2026 data, domestic Utility Vehicle sales reached 58,021 units, compared to 52,431 units in May of the previous fiscal year, representing an 11% increase.
Year-to-date Utility Vehicle sales stood at 114,352 units, compared to 104,761 units during the same period last year, registering a growth of 9%.

Commercial Vehicles and Three-Wheeler Sales
The Mahindra Auto Sales May 2026 report also highlighted significant gains across the Commercial Vehicle and three-wheeler categories.
Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) below 2 tonnes recorded sales of 3,490 units, a growth of 35% compared to 2,580 units sold during the corresponding month last year.
LCVs in the 2-tonne to 3.5-tonne category posted domestic sales of 20,589 units, up 16% from 17,718 units in May FY26.
Three-wheelers, including electric three-wheelers, emerged as one of the fastest-growing segments. Sales surged 89% to 12,536 units, compared to 6,635 units in the year-ago period.

Export Performance
The Mahindra Auto Sales May 2026 announcement also reflected strong export growth. Total exports increased 37% to 5,000 units during May 2026, compared to 3,646 units in the corresponding period of the previous year.
On a year-to-date basis, exports stood at 9,970 units, registering a 42% increase over 7,027 units reported during the same period last year.
